Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase from Stilling Waves Press. This policy explains how refunds and
cancellations work for our digital and print journals. It does not affect your statutory rights under the South
African Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).

1. Digital journals (eBooks)

Digital journals are delivered to you electronically and can be downloaded immediately after payment. Because they
are delivered instantly and cannot be returned, all digital sales are final once the download has been
accessed
. By completing your purchase and downloading the file, you request and consent to immediate delivery
and acknowledge that the cooling-off right for downloadable digital content falls away, as permitted by law.

The exception: if a file is faulty, corrupted, or you are unable to download it, contact us and we
will gladly resend it or, if we cannot resolve the problem, refund you. Digital purchases are processed by Polar (our
Merchant of Record); refunds are handled in line with this policy and Polar’s terms.

2. Print journals

Cancelling a print order. Each print journal is produced on demand, specifically for your order.
You may cancel for a full refund only while your order is still pending and has not yet entered production. Because print
orders are sent to production promptly after payment, this window is brief — if you wish to cancel, please email us
immediately. Once production has begun, the order can no longer be cancelled, as the book is being made for you.

Cooling-off and change of mind. Print journals are produced on demand — each book is printed
specifically for your order. For this reason, and as permitted under the ECTA for goods produced to order, the statutory
cooling-off period does not apply to print journals once production has begun, and we are unable to offer change-of-mind
cancellations or refunds after that point. If anything is wrong with your journal, you remain fully protected under
“Damaged, defective or incorrect items” below.

Damaged, defective or incorrect items. If your journal arrives damaged, defective, or is not what
you ordered, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We will
replace it or refund you in full, and you will not pay any return postage in these cases.

3. Bulk & wholesale orders

This policy covers individual orders placed through our website. For bulk, wholesale, or church and ministry
distribution, please contact us at hello@stillingwaves.com — these are arranged separately and may
be subject to their own terms.

4. How to request a refund or cancellation

Email hello@stillingwaves.com with your order number and a brief description (and photos for damaged
print items). We aim to respond within 2 business days.

5. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are made to your original payment method. Please allow up to 5–10 business days for the
refund to reflect, depending on your bank or payment provider.
