Welcome to Stilling Waves Press. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of stillingwaves.com (the "Site") and your purchase of our products. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them together with our Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Stilling Waves Press is a publishing division of Everspring Ventures (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2025/666621/07), a company registered in the Republic of South Africa. We publish contemplative Christian devotional journals online at stillingwaves.com.

2. Our products
- Digital journals (eBooks) — delivered electronically as downloadable PDF and/or EPUB files.
- Print journals — paperback books produced on a print-on-demand basis by our print partner and shipped to you.
3. Orders, prices & payment
All prices and the available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payment is required in full before an order is fulfilled. We use trusted third-party payment providers and do not store your card details:
- Digital journals are sold and processed by Polar as our Merchant of Record, which handles billing and any applicable sales tax/VAT on our behalf.
- Print journals are processed securely through PayFast.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (for example, where an item is mispriced or unavailable); if we cancel a paid order, we will refund you in full.
4. Digital delivery & licence
Digital journals are made available for download immediately after successful payment. We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to download and use your copy for your own devotional use. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sub-licence, or publicly share the files. All content remains our intellectual property.
5. Print delivery
Print journals are made to order and printed before dispatch, so please allow production time in addition to shipping. Delivery timeframes depend on your location and the carrier. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
6. Intellectual property
All text, designs, artwork, and other content on the Site and within our journals are © Stilling Waves Press, all rights reserved, unless otherwise stated.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use our content other than as permitted by these Terms.
8. Devotional content disclaimer
Our journals are intended for personal spiritual reflection and encouragement. They are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, financial, legal, or pastoral advice. If you need such advice, please consult a qualified professional.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the Site or our products is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA).
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to your order at the time you place it.
